My Picture Book, The Boy Who Couldn’t Cry Wolf

For readers just getting into my writing, I thought I’d write a blog post with some information about my picture book, “The Boy Who Couldn’t Cry Wolf.” I’ve share a lot of information about my middle grade fantasy series, but haven’t shared much information about my picture book. “The Boy Who Couldn’t Cry Wolf” is an older release, but still deserves a blog post at the least…if not only for its “punny” title.

“The Boy Who Couldn’t Cry Wolf” is a beautifully illustrated picture book that follows the journey of a six-year-old werewolf named Byron Woodward who can’t howl. With imaginative, colorful illustrations by Emma Phillips, the reader comes along with Byron as he embarks on a mission to learn how to howl before the full-moon ceremony. During his journey, Byron meets a number of wise, prominent werewolves and asks for their advice. Byron learns a lot about howling during his journey, but more importantly, he learns a valuable lesson about believing in himself.
